We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Engineering and Construction Operations Manager to join our team and lead residential construction projects to new heights.

Job Description:

Job Summary: The Engineering and Construction Operations Manager will oversee all engineering and construction activities for our residential real estate projects. This role requires a strategic leader with extensive experience in land development and residential construction. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the engineering and construction teams to deliver high-quality residential projects;
• Manage project performance, enhanced productivity, quality, and efficiency across engineering and operational functions;
• Evaluate construction operational processes, pinpoint areas for improvement, and implement effective solutions;
• Develop and implement strategic and operational plans for all construction activities to ensure timely, quality, and cost-effective project completion;
• Oversee land development processes, including site evaluation, planning, and infrastructure development;
• Ensure compliance with local building/structural codes, government regulations, and safety standards;
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, Mancom, top management, customers, and other stakeholders to meet project specifications and timelines;
• Prepare and manage budgets, cost estimates, engineering reports/analysis, and financial reports;
• Implement quality control procedures to ensure all construction work meets company and government standards;
• Resolve any issues or delays in construction projects efficiently and effectively;
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in construction methods, tools, and technologies;
• Champion a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the team.

Key Performance Indicators:

• Project Delivery:
  • Actual house unit/project completion versus budget/target
  • On-time Completion Rate: Percentage of projects completed on or before the scheduled deadline
  • Project Quality Index: Measure of project quality based on the client's feedback, compliance with standards, BOQ, BOM, specifications, and rework rate.
• Operational Efficiency: House Completion Efficiency: Ratio of actual output to standard output in a given period.
• Financial Performance : Cost and Operational Expense Control: Actual cost operational expenses versus budget.
• Team Performance :
  • Employee Productivity: Average output per employee or per team
  • Equipment Uptime: total hours of actual uptime over total working hours

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. A Master's degree or professional certification certificate (e.g., PMP) is an advantage;
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in the construction industry, with at least 5 years in a management role;
• Proven experience in residential real estate development and construction;
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and government regulations;
• Excellent leadership, communication, presentation, spreadsheets, and project management skills;
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously;
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail;
• Proficiency in construction management / BIM software and tools.
