Staffstream is hiring a Partnerships & Lead Generation Specialist on behalf of an Australian finance brokerage that helps commercial clients with business loans, vehicle finance and equipment finance. The brokerage has built a strong reputation on quality loan writing, and now wants to build out its referral partner network properly, working with accountants, mortgage brokers, equipment suppliers and other professionals who regularly come across clients who need finance. This is a genuinely new role. There is no polished playbook waiting for you, no fully built CRM for this side of the business, just a Director who has been doing this himself in between other work, and a real opportunity to build the function from the ground up alongside him. It is a hands-on business development role, not a management position, though there is a real path into leading a team as the network grows.
What You Will Actually Do
Make proactive outbound calls to potential referral partners (accountants, mortgage brokers, equipment suppliers, financial advisers) and introduce the brokerage in a way that actually lands
Follow up persistently and professionally by phone and email until you get a real conversation, not just one attempt and move on
Handle objections and adjust your approach depending on who you are talking to
Convert interested partners into signed referral agreements, and manage that process from first chat through to paperwork
Book appointments with the Director or senior brokers when a partner needs a higher-level conversation
Keep existing partners warm with regular activation calls, and re-engage the ones who have gone quiet before the relationship goes cold
Once a partner sends through a lead, keep them updated at the key milestones (contact made, in progress, approved, settled) while the loan writers handle the actual deal
Help build the playbook as you go: call scripts, outreach sequences, follow-up cadences and onboarding steps that do not exist yet
Keep accurate records of partner contacts, activity and referral volume in the CRM or tracking system
Report regularly to the Director on outreach activity, conversion rates and network growth, and bring your own ideas on what to improve
What You Need to Bring
Real experience in business development, partnerships, sales or outbound lead generation, with an actual track record of outbound calls and converting prospects
Confidence and clarity on the phone, comfortable starting conversations with business owners and professionals cold
The ability to handle objections calmly and adjust how you talk depending on who is in front of you, rather than reading from a script
Strong organization with follow-up, so partners and leads do not quietly fall through the cracks
A self-directed way of working; this role needs someone who drives their own activity without close supervision
Comfort being measured against targets like referral volume and partner conversion
Excellent written and verbal English, since you will represent the brokerage directly to its partners
Nice to Have
A background in financial services, finance broking, mortgage or equipment finance, or similar referral-driven professional services (this shortens the ramp-up considerably, since you already understand the products)
An existing network among accountants, brokers, equipment suppliers or similar professionals
Experience with CRM tools and structured outreach sequences
Australian experience or market background. This is genuinely a nice-to-have, not a requirement, so do not rule yourself out if you do not have it
The Setup
This role is open to Philippines-based candidates only
Fully remote, work-from-home
Working hours: 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM PHT, to align with the Australian client's business day
Equipment provided by Staffstream
What Is In It For You
A stable, full-time role with a business that genuinely needs you and wants you to grow into it. You'd be trusted to own your area, not micromanaged, working with a small team that values someone who can take things off their plate and run with them. On top of that, Staffstream looks after you properly:
HMO health cover, with one dependent covered for free.
Group life insurance.
Paid leave credits.
Work-from-home equipment provided.
You're employed compliantly under Philippine law: a proper local employment contract, your taxes handled correctly, and all your government-mandated benefits (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG) plus 13th month pay. That means real security and peace of mind, not a loose freelance arrangement. Everything is above board and looked after for you.
