Job Description - Payroll Specialist

Role Overview


The Senior Payroll Specialist is responsible for processing Philippine payroll accurately and on time, administering payroll details and validation result of ADP report and each HR/Payroll system, and ensuring compliance with statutory legislation. The role requires a hands-on approach and strong service orientation with critical thinking and communication skills.


Key Responsibilities


  • Managing End-to-End Payroll Process and meeting payroll deadlines in collaboration with team members.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of statutory legislation and building relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Handling queries related to payroll via Workday cases, emails, and phone calls.
  • Processing and validating bi-monthly payroll for Philippines with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Administering payroll data with ADP and HR/Payroll system and performing reconciliations and audits.
  • Ensuring accurate transmission of banking payments and bank account reconciliations.
  • Providing high-level customer service on payroll queries of varying complexity.
  • Continuously improving payroll operations efficiency through process enhancements.
  • Advising on compensation, legislation, benefits, and tax-related issues.
  • Demonstrating strong understanding of statutory compliances including SSS, PHIC, HDMF and Tax Annualization (Alphalist)
  • Having a strong grasp of Philippines Labor Laws and each taxation
  • Preparing monthly payroll forecasts for Group Treasury funding requests.
  • Posting of Bi-monthly, Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Journal Vouchers for people related costs.
