Job Description - Payroll Team Lead

ROLES AND RESPONSIBLITIES

  • Handle monthly payroll and benefits calculation, payment process and reconciliation for Hong Kong, Mainland China and other regional offices in East Asia
  • Support the development, improvement and contingency plan for different initiatives, including payroll system change and upgrade, roll-out of new People System, pension upgrades in Hong Kong and introduction of new pension plan for Macau, and global payroll framework review
  • Coordinate and work closely with the team manager and People team to ensure smooth payroll processing and payment in the region
  • Review monthly pension contribution lists and payments for submission
  • Review Hong Kong tax filing, and respond to enquiries from employees, local regulators and tax authorities
  • Support ad-hoc global and regional initiatives and projects as and when required

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Diploma / Degree in Human Resources Management, Accounting or related disciplines
  • At least 7 years of relevant experience in handling payroll. Regional exposure in handling payroll for Mainland China and other countries in Asia will be an advantage
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel
  • Well-organized, committed and responsible
  • Independent self-starter and detail-oriented team player
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
