Job Description - People Services Specialist - Reporting

Role Description


Our Enabling Functions span HR, Legal, IT and beyond. In every role you’ll play a major part in driving the growth of our business by bringing your expertise, strategic vision, commercial focus and operational excellence. 


The GSSC People Reporting Specialist plays a pivotal role in delivering high-quality People reports that empower data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role focuses on analyzing, generating, and maintaining People data insights and metrics through centralized reporting systems while ensuring accuracy and compliance in all deliverables.


As a member of the GSSC People Services Team, the Reporting Specialist is responsible for producing actionable reports that align with the organization’s goals, support strategic initiatives, and enable business leaders to make informed decisions. In addition, the Specialist will collaborate with various stakeholders, streamline reporting processes, and advise on improvements to reporting systems.


Role accountabilities:


As the GSSC People Specialist for Reporting, your role will center on delivering impactful People and HR reports. Key responsibilities include:


Developing and Delivering Reports



  • Create, maintain, and distribute recurring and ad-hoc People/HR reports, including metrics such as headcount, turnover, diversity, employee engagement, and other key indicators.

  • Ensure that data sources and reporting methodologies are consistent with organizational standards.


Data Analysis and Insights



  • Analyze HR data to identify trends and patterns, providing actionable insights to support strategic decision-making.

  • Investigate discrepancies and resolve issues in reporting to ensure data integrity.


Ensuring Data Accuracy



  • Regularly audit People/HR data to ensure accuracy and consistency within the system.

  • Collaborate with colleagues across teams to address data issues and discrepancies promptly.


Enhancing Reporting Systems



  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes and systems, including automation and standardization.

  • Develop visually engaging dashboards and tools using platforms such as Power BI or Oracle HCM for easy access to critical People data.


Supporting Compliance



  • Ensure all reports align with organizational policies and regulatory requirements, including data privacy standards like GDPR.


Collaborating with Stakeholders



  • Partner with People Teams, and Leadership Teams to understand reporting needs and deliver tailored solutions.

  • Act as a subject matter expert for reporting processes and tools.


Process Improvements



  • Participate in or lead projects aimed at enhancing reporting systems, workflows, and processes within the GSSC People Services team.

  • Contribute to the implementation of new systems or tools, including managing change and preparing documentation.


Qualifications & Experience



  • A bachelor’s degree in any field is required.

  • Preferably 3-4 years of experience in HR reporting, People analytics, or HR Shared Services.

  • Strong analytical skills with proven experience in delivering People and HR reports.

  • Advanced knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and proficiency in Excel.

  • Familiarity with HR systems and databases preferably Oracle Human Capital Management system.

  • A solid understanding of HR Shared Services concepts and processes.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.

  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders and present insights effectively.

  • Ability to work independently and prioritize workloads in a fast-paced environment.

  • Flexibility to work on rotating shifts and adapt to organizational changes.

  • Knowledge of compliance standards and data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR).
