Communications - Interacts with General Manager (GM), Department Heads and employees. Maintain contact with customers. Hold management and staff meetings to organize warehouse activities. Participate in local trade, professionals and civic associations as a representative of the company. Coordinate closely with clients of the cold storage; for operational concerns and resolve complaints and find ways to improve customer services.
Operations - Ensure the development of systems and procedures for operating and managing physical facilities, human resources, equipment and products in a profitable manner. Assists in planning, directing and implementing warehouse operations and administrative support to meet prescribed productivity and service goals. Manage operations people – Master Storekeepers, rank and file employees, to follow instructions requested by the management and clients.
Reporting - Reports and is accountable to the General Manager and/or Senior Vice President on the Key Performance Indicators (KPI) of the cold storage/ warehouse- including: Inventory Accuracy, GOP/GMP compliance, OTIF (client fulfillment rate), Expense Budget Monitoring, Billing Accuracy, Timeliness and Collections.
Labor Management - Direct the operations of the warehouse management team to achieve prescribed objectives. Apply sound communication and motivational techniques, create programs to supervise, counsel and discipline subordinates. Provide direction and assist human resources in creating programs for hiring, training, professional development and implementing an appropriate performance evaluation system for recommending promotions, wage increases, and terminations. Oversees and evaluates operations people including Master Storekeepers, Storekeepers, Engineering & Maintenance and Admin Officers and staff.
Management Information Systems - Ensure the creation of the necessary warehouse information systems to meet company objectives and facilitate the efficient operations of the warehouse. Ensure that necessary computer software and hardware is purchased from outside vendors. Remain knowledgeable regarding changes in hardware and software technology.
Budget - Participates in budget development and exercises budgetary control over cold storage operations.
Engineering - Monitor overall performance of the department. Involves in planning, planning, designing and implementing of new projects or renovating of existing cold storage. Gives approval to all engineering concerns.
Perform other tasks assigned to him by the immediate superior and/or other officials of the company.
