Job Summary:
We seek a visionary Public Relations (PR) Director to spearhead our department and elevate our agency's brand storytelling. You will be responsible for developing and executing cutting-edge PR strategies that seamlessly integrate events and influencer marketing, maximizing brand awareness, engagement, and positive media coverage.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of PR professionals, including account managers, content creators, and social media specialists, with a focus on integrated campaign management.
- Craft and implement comprehensive PR strategies that seamlessly integrate event planning and influencer marketing initiatives, fostering brand advocacy and amplifying brand messaging.
- Develop and nurture client relationships, deeply understanding their business goals and crafting PR campaigns that deliver measurable results with a focus on ROI.
- Secure positive media coverage for clients through strategic press releases, media pitches, and proactive media relations activities.
- Identify and cultivate strong relationships with key journalists, influencers (traditional media, social media celebrities, micro-influencers), and industry leaders.
- Develop and manage the agency's PR budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation and campaign optimization through data analysis.
- Oversee all aspects of event planning and execution, from concept development and logistics to post-event analysis and reporting.
- Stay ahead of the curve on the latest PR trends, technologies (e.g., AI-powered media monitoring), influencer marketing platforms, and event management best practices.
- Craft compelling press releases, media pitches, and other PR-related communication materials with a focus on audience-specific language.
- Analyze the effectiveness of PR campaigns using data analytics tools, making data-driven adjustments to optimize results and ROI.
- Train and mentor junior PR staff members, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
- Collaborate seamlessly with other departments within the agency, including creative, account management, social media, and data analysis teams.
- Manage crisis communication situations strategically, protecting the agency's and clients' reputations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field (Master's degree a plus).
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in a leadership role within a Public Relations agency or corporate environment.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful PR campaigns with measurable results, demonstrably integrating events and influencer marketing strategies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to diverse audiences and platforms.
- Strong media relations experience, with a proven ability to secure positive media coverage across traditional and new media outlets.
- Expertise in event planning and execution, from budgeting and logistics to vendor management and attendee engagement.
- Extensive knowledge of influencer marketing platforms and strategies, with a proven ability to identify and activate relevant influencers.
- In-depth knowledge of current PR trends, technologies (including data analytics tools), and social media best practices.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and budgeting skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a data-driven approach.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with a collaborative and results-oriented mindset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite applications.
- Experience with PR software tools (Cision, Meltwater), data analytics platforms, and event management software a plus.
