Role Description;
To manage project team (or components of projects) meeting budgetary, quality, safety and timeframe targets, while exceeding client expectations To promote and market all facets of Arcadis services during interfaces with clients, other sectors/disciplines and externally at seminars and conferences To build and consolidate networks within the industry To identify opportunities for process improvement within the discipline area To contribute towards the achievement of the sector/discipline plan Role Accountabilities;
The main responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
To be the digital champion for development of different kinds of workflows to improve efficiency. Improving project delivery through innovative ways (e.g., scripts, establishing project setups/delivery etc.) Providing input into the sector strategy/ business plans, as required, and contributing towards its achievement Communicating with team members to ensure that they understand, and become engaged with, sector/discipline digital plans Proactively engage on the digital teams within arcadis global business. Liaising with and assisting the Project Manager to ensure commercial aspects relating to the design team(s) eg. contract, invoicing, debt, client management etc can achieve a successful result
Liaising with the Project Manager or Director and the client to keep informed of all developments, changes/modifications associated with the project Identifying opportunities and driving implementation of re-engineering strategies to maximise the profitability of design components Gaining a good understanding of the background of the clients business and industry to facilitate building effective and enduring relationships and consolidating both company and personal credibility in the industry Providing leadership, direction and technical advice to project team members Taking a proactive role in developing team members to their full potential, leading by example to achieve sector/divisional goals and championing a quality, innovative and entrepreneurial culture Performing other duties and responsibilities as required from time to time by your manager or Arcadis. Ensuring you are familiar and compliant with Health and Safety regulations and guidelines Qualifications and Experience
Post-graduate qualifications an advantage Relevant post-graduate experience, including supervising aspects of a project of significant scale and/or
complexity, application of standards, managing of resources and technical knowledge Demonstrated technical, commercial and delivery acumen Demonstrated experience of managing inter-disciplinary design interfaces and/or projects Demonstrated ability to lead, with good influencing, motivating and delegation skills Excellent communication and relationship building skills, both internally and externally Experience of seeking and securing opportunities Experience of cost/benefit assessment and best value design Experience of delivering designs and reports at all stages from concept through to final project and construction delivery
