Product Development Scientist Corn 

Purpose: 

Lead Precision Breeding strategy and execution for product development and commercialization of hybrids and varietals in the Seeds & Traits portfolios.
Provide technical leadership to prioritize, develop, implement, and advance innovations, supporting market development and regional brands in the Philippines and potentially Vietnam.
Maintain a strong portfolio by delivering new deployments that meet customer needs and business expectations, partnering with CM, Marketing, RC, and other stakeholders.
Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify opportunities for innovation, new technology implementation, and process improvements.

YOUR TASK and RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, develop, implement, and execute technical strategies for product development, from yield trial testing to commercialization, aligned with product concepts and portfolio needs to deliver genetic gain in breeding pipelines.
• Collaborate with partners in field testing, operations, analytics, pipeline design, product design, market development, R&D, and Corn Product & Cluster Units to ensure the implementation of technical strategies for new commercial products.
• Lead local germplasm strategy and cross-functional partnerships for timely delivery of a strong trait-ready pipeline across biotech traits.
• Support global product development pipelines in specified maturity zones and new product launches, including germplasm and biotech traits.
• Partner with other regions on innovation projects for Precision Breeding, focusing on genetic gain and product performance through digital transformation and new technology.
• Support health, safety, compliance, business conduct, and human rights policies and culture.
• Facilitate the development and optimization of plant biology solutions for row crop breeding, aligned with Precision Breeding strategies.
• Ensure the success of breeding employees, pipelines, and operations by providing technical expertise and building global relationships to enhance plant biology technologies

WHO YOU ARE: 

• PhD with 6+ years, MS with 10+ years, or BS with 12+ years of relevantexperience.
• Proven experience collaborating in cross-functional and cross-cultural teams to achieve goals.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams without direct reporting relationships.
• Skilled in leading and influencing key stakeholders through challenges and opportunities, facilitating solutions
