Product Management Officer

A leading insurance company is looking for a Product Management Officer to support the development, enhancement, and management of general insurance products. This role is responsible for ensuring product competitiveness, regulatory compliance, and alignment with customer needs and market trends. The position involves close collaboration with internal teams, regulatory bodies, and distribution partners to drive product innovation and growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Reports to the Product Manager and supports the design, development, and implementation of new general insurance products and enhancements to existing offerings.
• Assists in creating product propositions for digital platforms, partnerships, and multiple distribution channels.
• Conducts market research and competitive scans to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and business opportunities.
• Prepares regular product performance, monitoring, and profitability reports to guide strategic decisions.
• Ensures all products comply with internal policies and external regulatory requirements, including coordination with the Insurance Commission for product submissions and filings.
• Maintains product relevance by tracking market developments, competitor activities, and customer feedback.
• Coordinates with cross-functional teams such as IT, Finance, Operations, and Marketing to implement product updates, system requirements, and communication plans.
• Supports initiatives related to InsurTech and digital insurance innovation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Mathematics or Integrated Marketing Communications or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in product development within the insurance industry (life or non-life).
• Strong understanding of general insurance regulatory requirements, product filing processes, and compliance standards.
• Experience in coordinating product submissions with the Insurance Commission is an advantage.
• Keen interest in InsurTech, digital insurance, and product innovation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Highly organized and capable of managing multiple product initiatives simultaneously.
