Production Supervisor

We make products for the data center, utility, industrial, commercial, machine building, residential, aerospace and mobility markets.\n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nThe Production Supervisor is responsible for the operative management of the assigned production area, ensuring the efficient build of UPS products and its sub-assemblies in accordance with the required quality standard and customer demand whilst fostering a safe work environment.\n\n * Assist the Production Manager in setting targets and drive the execution of actions to fulfill those targets \n * Supervise all-encompassing work activities in the assigned production area\n * Direct operators to obtain maximum productivity and efficiency, assuring attendance and proper manning\n * Comply to and deploy the prescribed processes and methods to ascertain that the products assembled conform to established specifications and quality standards\n * Accomplish the required production output daily through periodic monitoring and addressing timely the identified constraints \n * Monitor the performance of operators and be able to develop them through coaching, motivation and strongly engaging them, and in like manner, counselling and disciplining them when necessary\n * Conduct tier meetings and communicate plans and strategies effectively throughout the department and with the support team members\n * Work with the support teams to address operational issues, including those highlighted by the operators, and propose and/or implement improvement actions \n * Administer the company and production department\u2019s policies and procedures, explaining the necessities of new ones as they are implemented \n * Enforce safety standards, rules and procedures, including compliance to PPE; highlight and/or address unsafe conditions and carry out a clean and organized work area per 5S standards \n * Initiate and support continuous improvement ideas, activities and projects \n * Prepare daily, weekly and other periodic reports of production activities\n * Perform other tasks that may be assigned by the Production Manager\n\n\n\n## Qualifications:\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s degree in engineering or management \n * At least 5 years experience in a production supervisory role, preferably in a manufacturing environment\n * Knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality/improvement systems\n * Excellent leadership, people management and communication skills \n * Focused, analytical, systematic, keen to details, and with high tolerance for stress\n * Ability to work in a dynamic and complex environment and deliver results\n * Team player and can work well with others\n * Punctual and with high sense of urgency and responsibility\n\n\n\nAt Eaton, we don\u2019t just want to offer you a job, but a journey and experience.
