Project Engineer

Our client, in the renewable energy sector, is looking for a Project Engineer to join their Technical Department. This role is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who is keen on applying their skills in a dynamic and impactful setting.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed project status reports, including S-curves and performance indexes, work schedules, and manpower availability.
• Inspect and monitor project work to ensure conformity with approved plans, construction drawings, technical specifications, national codes, and standards.
• Conduct initial reviews of contractor submissions, billings, and contractual claims, and propose engineering solutions for senior engineer approval.
• Coordinate material testing and quality control procedures with other departments.
• Report on changes in project scope, including variation orders, extra works, and time extensions.
• Participate in the bidding process, including evaluating bidders and preparing tender documents.
• Regularly prepare progress reports, technical documentation, and project updates.
• Assist in ensuring compliance with regulations set by agencies like DOE, DENR, LGU, BOI, etc., in collaboration with the Legal Department.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• PRC License (RA 1080) is preferred.
• Experience in quality assurance, control procedures, quantity surveying, and project management.
• Knowledge of project management software such as MS Project and P6 Primavera.
• Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp) and MS Office.
• Efficient time management skills.
• At least one year of experience in construction within related fields and five years in the power and renewable energy industry.
• Eagerness to learn and a strong work ethic.

Working Conditions:

• Willing to work in the head office with willingness for project site visits as required.
