Purchasing Specialist

The Opportunity: 

The Renewals Purchasing Specialist supports the Renewals Team’s procurement needs by working with internal teams and vendors to purchase support renewals on time, track licensing and hardware renewals, monitor client returns, and prepare reports.

The incumbent will be responsible for providing renewal quotations and sales support to the Renewals Team, Client Relationship Managers, Service Technicians, and Project Managers. This role also involves coordinating with and serving as a liaison to vendors and manufacturers to support various projects, programs, and customer initiatives, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products and services.

Responsibilities:

• Provides quotes for support renewals to the team and clients


• Orders support renewals through vendors in a timely fashion


• Maintains vendor relationships and communications on a daily basis


• Maintains client license and software information in Salesforce


• Processes RMA’s from clients and ECI


• Provides updates on all open purchase orders to client relation managers and project managers


• Prepares system configurations and quotations in internal and 3^rd party systems


• Provides sales support utilizing both internal and external contacts


• Processes deal registrations with vendors and manufacturers


• Provides timely and accurate reports on renewals, quote status, and inventory levels


• Submits requests to vendors for quotes


• Meets with existing and potential vendors

Requirements:

• BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience


• Minimum 2 years of direct work experience in a purchasing capacity


• Exposure to supply chain/procurement operations preferred


• Must have or develop a thorough understanding of ECI and vendor sales process


• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment


• Ability to provide knowledge transfer through publication, peer collaboration, and in/formal training delivery


• Ability to work in an independent environment with moderate supervision


• Strong verbal, listening and written communication skills


• Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment


• Ability to adapt to change quickly and easily


• Outstanding customer service skills


• Sharp attention to detail

Good to have:

• Ability to work effectively with various computer systems. This position requires a heavy use of our internal software packages: Great Plains, Salesforce, ServiceNow, Excel spreadsheets as well as distributor websites.


• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel


• Knowledge of computer terminology


• Prior experience in supply chain/procurement operations
