QA Software Engineer

Qualifications and Experience Key Responsibilities

• Strong technical and test automation background.

• Proven experience in software quality assurance and test automation, with a focus on large-scale distributed systems.

• Ability to develop test plans, test cases, task cards, and manage test data/requirements, taking ownership from specifications.

• Proficient in contract testing with familiarity in frameworks such as PACT. Contract testing (PACT) and large scale distributed systems experience are just preference, not a hard requirement

• Skilled in API testing and regression testing of APIs and familiarity with Postman.

• Automates manual processes to drive efficiency.

• Experienced in UI regression testing, with knowledge of frameworks like Playwright and Selenium.

• Proficient in both functional and non-functional testing, ensuring comprehensive coverage and robust system performance.

• Knowledgeable in CI/CD practices.

• Help the team to investigate the root cause(s) and analyse the logs via logging tools.

Top Skills Required

• Strong understanding of core testing concepts, including creating test cases and test plans

• Experience with Postman for API testing

• Front-end testing experience

• Experience with any automation testing tools

• Database testing, including working with SQL

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines

Good to have

• Experience in Scripting Language, SQL.

• Experience with AWS cloud services.

• Knowledgeable in load testing practices and familiarity with JMeter.
