Quality Assurance Tester 1 - KingsIsle (Cebu - onsite)

The Quality Assurance Tester is responsible for executing structured test plans, identifying and documenting in-game defects, and collaborating closely with development teams to ensure builds are stable and ready for release. This role produces detailed tracking and reporting on issues, resolutions, and testing outcomes while applying strong critical-thinking and attention-to-detail skills throughout the testing lifecycle.

About the Role

• Create detailed tracking reports to track errors and resolutions 

• Follow test plans to assure development that builds are ready for mass consumption 

• Document issues that appear in game in a detailed manner and work with development to fix the issue if needed 

• Structured testing - 6 months 

• Critical thinking 

• Attention to detail 

• Excellent English oral and written skills 

• Ability to work night shifts to maintain some overlap with US working hours 

Preferences 

• Technical understanding of development process and key components to facilitate defect detection and reporting 

• Knowledge of and experience with full-cycle software development and testing methodology 

• Knowledge of database reporting techniques 

• Experience in Client/Server Software Quality Assurance 

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment or as an individual contributor 

• Prior experience working at a company developing MMO games 

• Prior experience with console game development 

• Experience with shipping game titles 

• Lua or Python scripting experience 

• Associate's degree from an accredited university
