Job Description - RCI: Billing Specialist (Flexicare)

The Billing Specialist I is responsible for handling the most complex aspects of the billing process, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all invoicing activities. This role goes beyond day-to-day transaction processing, involving system analysis, cross-functional coordination, and process optimization.

Duties and Responsibilities

Handle complex and high-value billing transactions
Review invoices prepared by Billing Analysts for accuracy and compliance (without direct supervision responsibility)
Ensure proper application of Philippine VAT, EWT, and BIR invoicing rules (e.g., Sales Invoice, OR, BIR 2307)
Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for billing policies and ERP billing workflows
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex billing issues
Lead or support billing-related system enhancements (e.g., template setup, workflow automation)
Reconcile billing accounts and contribute to month-end revenue recognition and reporting
Maintain audit-ready documentation and support internal and external audit requirements
Mentor or train Billing Analysts on complex scenarios, though without direct supervisory authority

Background and Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong knowledge of Philippine tax laws and invoicing compliance (especially BIR requirements)
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Strong interpersonal skills
Proficiency in MS Excel and other MS Programs
High attention to detail and accuracy
Good communication and customer service skills
