Job Overview

The RRP Engineer role in the RRP Manila Team is essential for developing and managing the infrastructure using MS BI Technology and SQL Server that supports regulatory reporting across Asia. This position involves collaborating with teams from India, Singapore, and Manila to ensure efficient data handling, report generation, and continuous improvement of processes and tools. The engineer will report to the RRP SG Team counterpart and the RRP Manila Team, focusing on enhancing operational capabilities and teamwork to ensure project success across the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop and support application and database components like stored procedures and ETL as per specification from branch users and regulatory authorities. Mandatory technical skills needed: (SQL server, T-SQL, SSIS) and nice to have skills that are Front-End Development related (Web or Application).
• Ensure deliverables meet business requirements.
• Should understand banking regulatory reporting rules and regulations, Strong analytical skills, Ability to work effectively in a team environment to meet tight deadline.
• Ensure all support and project activities are complying to the quality assurance, audit specification, internal controls, and standards.
• Provide up- to- date and accurate relevant documentation of changes, fixes, upgrades, enhancements of supported applications and implementation procedures in accordance with established standards.
• Coach members of squad and build adequate technical capability to support operation of BAU processes and new development.
• Responsible for the governance of application from an organizational information security standard. Ensure system security compliance with ING standards and policies (IT RISK).
• Engage with external parties like information security and audit teams for application governance
• Continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) setup using Azure DevOps pipeline, YAML scripting and GIT repository.
• Continuously improve infrastructure for scalability, security, and fault tolerance
• IT Risk evidencing, enforce IT security protocols, onboard ING global Tooling.

Key Capabilities/Experience

•  Minimum 10 years of application development experience in MSBI platform (SQL, TSQL, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS) with an overall software engineering experience of +10 years
• Proven experience in the following areas:
  • Design codes framework.
  • Write efficient codes with minimal technical debt.
  • Write effective unit and integration tests.
• Good communication skills & able to work with minimal supervision.
• Continuously resolving a minor or major of technical requests, inquiries, bug fixes and complaints

• Experience in working with large customers in enterprise application development in the specified skillsets.
• Experience in governance of application from an organizational information security standard.
• Experience in Managing and Creating Pipelines using Azure Dev Ops.
• Must be a quick learner, able to grasp new technologies and concepts efficiently. They should be adaptable and thrive in challenges, demonstrating a proactive approach to innovation.

Minimum Qualifications

SQL Server (SQL, T-SQL, SSIS)

• SQL:
  • Perform complex database programming by writing SQL procedures on large-scale databases
  • Proven ability to perform technical troubleshooting to diagnose, isolate and correct data and database issues.
  • Comfortable in doing SQL/DB Optimization
  • SQL Profiler usage and leveraging for optimizations
  • Knowledgeable in Database Admin
• SSIS:
  • Build end-end ETL flows for DWH application.
  • Analyze data models.
  • Data quality analysis
• SQL Profiler usage and leveraging for optimizations
• TFS (Team Foundation Server), GitHub, Azure Dev Ops.
• IIS, certificates installation
• Experience in governance of application from an organizational information security, risk and compliance standard.
