Job Description - Admissions Consultant (Outbound Sales)

Our client is a nationally recognised higher education institution in Australia, known for delivering innovative programs in the creative industries — including music, film, audio engineering, entertainment business, and more. With a strong commitment to student outcomes and job readiness, they are now expanding their admissions team.

They are seeking a proactive, persuasive, and student-focused Admissions Consultant to handle outbound sales, build relationships, and assist with the right study pathway through consultative and ethical selling.

Job Responsibilities:

Lead Management & Outreach

  • Qualify and prioritise prospective students based on interest, engagement, and enrolment potential
  • Execute personalised and automated follow-up campaigns
  • Provide prompt and tailored responses to enquiries via phone, email, and chat

Consultative Selling & Guidance

  • Understand individual goals and match them with relevant study programs
  • Explain course value, outcomes, and ROI clearly and confidently
  • Overcome objections around commitment, costs, or suitability through active listening and value positioning

Relationship Building & Student Engagement

  • Build trust and rapport with prospective students through consistent communication
  • Gather and respond to feedback to improve lead engagement strategies

Reporting & Collaboration

  • Track lead interactions and engagement data using the CRM
  • Analyse and report on conversion rates, campaign performance, and lead quality
  • Collaborate with marketing and internal teams to align messaging and optimise outreach
  • 2–3+ years’ experience in outbound sales, enrolment advising, or customer engagement
  • Proven ability to convert leads into successful outcomes
  • Strong English communication skills — verbal and written
  • CRM experience for tracking leads and managing workflows
  • Background in education, recruitment, or creative industries is a plus
  • Consultative, student-first approach to selling
  • Highly motivated, target-driven, and organised
  • Tech-savvy and adaptable to new tools and platforms
  • ​Permanent work-from-home set-up
