In this role, you’ll manage invoicing, payments, reconciliations, and financial reporting while supporting internal teams with accurate data and insights. - Prepare and issue client invoices in coordination with internal teams.
- Monitor accounts receivable, maintain updated ledgers, and follow up on overdue payments.
- Process incoming payments, reconcile customer accounts, and maintain records of all transactions and communications.
- Support monthly revenue reporting and debtor ageing analysis.
- Process and code supplier invoices promptly and accurately.
- Manage payment runs and ensure supplier payments align with company policy.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve billing or payment discrepancies.
- Liaise with internal departments and suppliers regarding queries.
- Support month-end and year-end close activities, including accruals and bank/account reconciliations.
- Assist the Finance Officer in preparing financial reports, schedules, and reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, taxation requirements, and internal controls.
- Contribute to process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Support commercial teams with financial data and insights.
- Provide assistance with ad hoc finance and administrative projects.
- Perform other role-specific duties as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or bookkeeping.
- Hands-on experience with Xero accounting software.
- Understanding of Australian taxation and accounting systems.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
- Familiarity with tools such as:
- HubDoc (document collection and management)
- Stripe (online payment processing)
- HubSpot (CRM)
- HeadBox (event management software)
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, confident when liaising with clients and suppliers.
- Consistent accuracy and professionalism in handling financial data.
