Job Title: Benefits Specialist – Broker Support & Implementation

Location: Remote - Philippines Opportunity!

Job Summary

The Benefits Specialist – Broker Support & Implementation is a detail-oriented and customer-focused Benefits Specialist to support insurance brokers and employer clients with the implementation and ongoing management of benefits through the Employee Navigator Benefits Administration System. This role will act as the technical and functional expert for setting up, troubleshooting, and optimizing client benefit configurations while delivering an outstanding customer experience.

  

Job Duties

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for brokers and employer groups during system implementation and ongoing support phases.
  • Configure and maintain client benefit plans, eligibility rules, and workflows within Employee Navigator.
  • Coordinate with brokers and carriers to gather plan documents, rates, and eligibility files for accurate system setup.
  • Guide brokers and HR teams through onboarding, setup, testing, and system launch, ensuring timely and accurate implementation.
  • Troubleshoot system issues and perform root cause analysis; work with Employee Navigator support when needed.
  • Train brokers and HR users on platform functionality, including employee self-service, life event processing, and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with benefit regulations and data accuracy for open enrollment, new hire onboarding, and life event processing.
  • Assist in developing and updating standard operating procedures and training documentation.
  • Stay current with Employee Navigator platform updates, benefit regulations, and broker/client needs.

Required Skills

  • Excellent written and oral communication.  
  • Ability to effectively learn and navigate a variety of HR systems and platforms such as: payroll, benefits, and HRIS.   
  • Able to organize, manage, and track multiple detailed tasks and assignments with frequently changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.  
  • Delivering clear and effective presentations.  
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Strategic thinking and operational execution.
  • Analytical and data-driven decision-making.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.

Education and Experience

Required

  • 2–4 years of experience in benefits administration, employee benefits consulting, or insurance brokerage support.
  • Hands-on experience with Employee Navigator or similar benefits administration platforms.
  • Knowledge of group health, dental, vision, life, and ancillary benefit plans.
  • Strong communication and client service skills; comfortable working directly with brokers and HR clients.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in managing plan data and system rules.
  • Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and/or certifications in HCM, HRIS or Insurance Services.
  • Experience with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and their impact on HR systems.
  • Familiarity with design thinking, lean principles, or user-centered HR design.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to participate in video conference/meetings.
  • Must be able to move up to 15 pounds at times.
