Job Role: Business Development Representative

Compensation range: $1,200 AUD - $2,000 AUD / Monthly

Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement

Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.

Who We Are: At Hunt St, we help Australian companies hire top remote talent in the Philippines. For this role, you will be engaged directly by the client as an independent contractor. We are not an outsourcing agency. All of our roles are 100% remote so you'll be able to work from home.

Who The Client Is: A performance marketing agency specialising in customer acquisition for SMEs in the service and retail industries, with Australian and international clients. The Founder is based in London but maintains Australian tax residency and returns to Sydney regularly. Services include paid search (Google Ads), paid social (Meta Ads), Amazon PPC, SEO, conversion rate optimisation, and data analytics - with a focus on improving return on ad spend and growing customer bases for their clients.

Role Overview: We are seeking a Business Development Representative (BDR) to drive outbound sales activity on behalf of the business Founder. This is a high-output, communications-focused role centred on generating qualified sales conversations with brands across LinkedIn, email, and Instagram. The ideal candidate is a confident, proactive communicator who can represent the founder and the brand with professionalism and consistency.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Execute outbound outreach across LinkedIn, email, and Instagram DMs on behalf of the founder, following established messaging flows and sequences.
  • Identify and target relevant brand contacts within the founder's ICP (ideal client profile).
  • Maintain a consistent volume of outreach activity to generate qualified sales conversations.
  • Track outreach activity and responses; flag warm leads promptly.
  • Leverage AI tools to support message drafting and personalisation at scale.
  • Basic bookkeeping administration: Collate receipts and manage basic expense records (approx. 1–2 hours per week).
  • Ensure outgoing client invoices are issued accurately on the 1st and 15th of each month.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years’ experience in Business Development Representative (BDR) role minimum.
  • Excellent written English with strong attention to tone and voice, able to write as if they are the founder.
  • Experience in outbound sales, lead generation, or a similar communications-heavy role.
  • Comfortable using LinkedIn, email platforms, and Instagram for professional outreach.
  • AI-proficient: able to use AI tools to improve output quality and efficiency.
  • Highly organised and self-directed, with the ability to manage a high volume of outreach independently.
  • Basic familiarity with bookkeeping/invoicing and receipt management is preferred but not essential.

Work Arrangement & Expectations:

This is a remote role that will be set up as an independent contractor engagement.
