Job Description - Candidate & Talent Manager (019-848)

Looking for Philippines-based candidates

Job Role: Candidate & Talent Manager

Compensation range: $1,800 AUD - $2,000 AUD / Monthly

Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement

Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.

Who We Are: At Hunt St, we help Australian companies hire top remote talent in the Philippines. For this role, you will be engaged directly by the client as an independent contractor. We are not an outsourcing agency. All of our roles are 100% remote so you'll be able to work from home.

Who The Client Is: This is a specialist talent advisory business in Australia focused on roles within the property, construction, and real estate sectors. It is built on long-term relationships, a structured and quality-focused approach, and a strong emphasis on candidate experience. The team works in a highly collaborative and hands-on way across all stages of delivery. The role works closely within this environment, supporting both client and candidate engagement as part of a close-knit internal team.

Role Overview: We are seeking a Candidate & Talent Manager to work closely with the Director in managing the end-to-end candidate lifecycle and supporting recruitment delivery. This role suits someone senior enough to take ownership, follow direction confidently, and manage priorities independently without constant supervision. It is not a sales or business development role, and success will be measured by strong organisation, consistent follow-through, clear communication, and overall reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

Working Directly With the Director

  • Support the Director with day‑to‑day recruitment delivery
  • Take direction, prioritise tasks, and proactively manage follow‑ups
  • Act as a trusted support person across candidate workflows
  • Maintain high standards of accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism

Candidate Management

  • Conduct candidate pre‑screens and registration interviews (via Microsoft Teams)
  • Manage candidates through recruitment processes from initial contact to placement
  • Maintain regular communication with candidates throughout processes
  • Coordinate interviews, reference checks, medicals and onboarding
  • Represent the Director and brand professionally with candidates

CRM & Administration

  • Maintain accurate records in the CRM
  • Prepare candidate summaries, interview notes, and reference checks
  • Reformat CVs into branded templates
  • Track candidate status, availability, notice periods, and preferences
  • Ensure all compliance steps are completed correctly

Recruitment Support

  • Schedule interviews and manage diaries
  • Prepare candidate submissions for client review
  • Keep recruitment workflows moving by following up actions
  • Assist with database searches, job ads, and LinkedIn outreach when required
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, HR, or candidate coordination
  • Working knowledge of applicant tracking systems (ATS)
  • Working knowledge of customer relationship management (CRM) tools
  • Comfortable working directly with a business owner
  • Strong written and spoken English
  • Confident conducting video interviews
  • Highly organised, reliable, and detail-oriented
  • Able to work independently and take initiative in a remote setting
  • Must be based in Cebu, Philippines (remote work arrangement)

Highly regarded:

  • Supporting Australian recruitment businesses
  • Experience in property, real estate, or professional services
  • CRM experience (preferably Bullhorn)

Work Arrangement & Expectations:

This is a remote role that will be set up as an independent contractor engagement.

To ensure alignment and transparency, successful candidates will be expected to:

  • Disclose any existing ongoing roles or client work
  • Reflect this engagement on their LinkedIn profile (clearly marked as “Independent Contractor”)
