Why do we have this role?

Join our dynamic Finance Team as a Collections Officer in the Philippines! You'll play a crucial role in recovering overdue debts from our valued Sinch MessageMedia customers across Europe, USA, and Australia.

What do you do in the role?

Reporting to the Collections Team Leader - Philippines, the Collections Officer works within a global finance team and will partner with key stakeholders within the business (Sales and Customer Support teams) to resolve customer queries and collect outstanding monies from customers.

The role will work (from home) within a team of collections staff based in Australia, USA and Philippines.

Specific roles and responsibilities:

• Daily collection activities including telephone and email follow up on lower value customer balances
• Working in a queue, you will deliver fast and effective communication to all clients resolving queries within specific service level agreements (SLAs).
• Perform account/payment reconciliations.
• Responding to external and internal customers on account queries.
• Identifying bad debts and escalating accordingly

You will have your own office set up with the ability to make and receive telephone calls

How Success will be measured?

Monthly scorecard completed by team leader assessing the following

• Calls made and received
• Tickets actioned
• Feedback received
• Attendance & Reliability

What Experience/qualities You Need To Bring With You

• Previous 3 years+ collections experience essential
• Advanced Excel knowledge is essential
• System knowledge – Zuora & Zendesk knowledge preferable.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy is essential, with strong customer service and communication skills.
• Sound time management, prioritisation and follow-up skills, including the ability to effectively balance quality and quantity of output.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the capability to recommend solutions and improvements.
