Construction Accountant

Location: 100% Remote (Open to candidates based in LATAM, the Philippines, and South Africa)

Salary Range: USD $1,000 – $2,000 per month (Based on experience)

Employment Type: Independent Contractor Agreement

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Construction Accountant to support the day-to-day accounting operations of a growing construction and real estate business. The ideal candidate has experience with construction accounting, is proficient in Sage Accounting, and is comfortable working in a remote, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger transactions.


• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.


• Perform bank and account reconciliations.


• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.


• Track project costs, job costing, and construction-related expenses.


• Prepare financial reports and support budgeting activities.


• Ensure accounting records are accurate and compliant with company policies.


• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve accounting discrepancies.


• Maintain organized financial documentation and records.

Required Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in construction accounting or a similar role.


• Hands-on experience using Sage Accounting (required).


• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.


• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.


• Strong communication skills in English.


• Ability to manage priorities and work independently in a fully remote environment.
