Job Role: Construction Planner

Compensation range: Up to 2,000 AUD/month (slightly flexible for exceptional candidates)

Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement

Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 8 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.

Who The Client Is: Our client is a construction consultancy specialising in programming, project management, and delivery advice. They focus on achieving practical outcomes while adding real value for clients. With clear communication and ongoing support, they help projects stay on track with timeframes and milestones.

Role Overview: We are seeking a Construction Planner to support a growing workload across tender programming, project reviews, and reporting. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of delivering high-quality programming outputs to help keep construction projects running smoothly.

You’ll be working closely with the consultancy lead to manage programming deliverables, freeing them to focus on client-facing tasks and business development.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Develop, review, and maintain construction programs for various projects.
• Provide programming support for tenders, project reviews, and reporting.
• Analyse project timelines, critical paths, and dependencies to identify potential risks and solutions.
• Prepare clear, accurate, and well-structured program reports for clients.
• Ensure deliverables meet deadlines and quality standards.
• Support ongoing communication and coordination with stakeholders as needed.

• Proven experience as a Construction Planner/Programmer in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies and sequencing.
• On-site Experience in Commercial Construction will be desirable.
• Proficiency in project programming tools/software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present timelines and reports clearly.
• Ability to work independently, remotely, and manage time effectively.
