About the Role


The client is an integrated residential property business, working hand in hand with their clients to provide property buying, advisory and management services, and investment funds. As a Credit Officer & Loan Processor, you will play a key role in supporting the end-to-end loan lifecycle — from credit assessment through to settlement and post-closing activities.

This is a combined role responsible for reviewing and assessing loan applications in line with company credit policy, while also managing the operational processing and documentation requirements of each loan.
You will work closely with clients, brokers, sales teams, and internal operations stakeholders to ensure applications are assessed accurately, processed efficiently, and maintained in full compliance with responsible lending regulations. Key Responsibilities


Credit Assessment



  • Review all loan applications and assess suitability in accordance with internal credit policy.

  • Analyse financial information and supporting documentation to determine applicant eligibility.

  • Complete formal credit assessments and provide recommendations to the GM – Deployment.

  • Ensure sound credit decision-making aligned with responsible lending standards.



Loan Processing & Operations



  • Support the end-to-end loan application process from submission to settlement.

  • Complete accurate data entry and maintain updated loan files.

  • Order property valuations and gather required supporting documentation.

  • Prepare loan files for assessment and approval.



Loan Documentation Management



  • Prepare, manage, and track loan documentation.

  • Ensure all required documents are accurate, compliant, and complete.

  • Obtain required signatures and submit applications correctly and within required timelines.



Stakeholder Liaison



  • Coordinate with clients, brokers, sales teams, and operations team members to progress applications.

  • Provide clear and timely updates on loan status.

  • Proactively identify and resolve issues that may delay approvals or settlements.



Compliance & Legal Requirements



  • Ensure all activities comply with responsible lending regulations and internal compliance standards.

  • Maintain accurate and compliant loan records.

  • Support brokers with internal compliance documentation requirements.



Customer Service



  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries and provide professional, helpful support.

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships throughout the loan process.

  • Deliver a high level of service to both internal and external stakeholders.



Post-Closing Activities



  • Follow up on loan lodgements and settlement progress.

  • Process loan discharges and organise settlements in accordance with procedures.

  • Assist with servicing calculations and operational loan tasks as required.



System & Database Maintenance



  • Maintain accurate client records within CRM/database systems.

  • Ensure all documentation is uploaded and tracked appropriately.

  • HubSpot experience is highly regarded.



Other Responsibilities



  • You will coordinate with the Property Management Team to ensure that requests and concerns are properly addressed.

  • Perform other related tasks and duties that may be assigned by the client later on.



About You



  • Fluent written and spoken English.

  • At least 3–5 years’ experience in credit assessment, loan processing, or financial services roles.

  • Strong understanding of responsible lending regulations and credit policy frameworks.

  • Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage multiple applications and deadlines simultaneously.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Experience in residential property lending or mortgage processing is highly regarded.

  • HubSpot or CRM experience is a plus.

  • Proactive, organised, and solutions-focused mindset.
