Job Title: eCommerce Website Development Specialist

Job Overview:

We’re helping our client, a highly profitable, pre-IPO cookware brand endorsed by Gordon Ramsay, find an experienced and innovative eCommerce Website Development Specialist. In this role, you’ll be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing their e-commerce platform to deliver a seamless, engaging, and efficient online shopping experience. You’ll collaborate closely with the marketing, design, and content teams while playing a key role in shaping the future of this fast-growing omnichannel brand.

Responsibilities:

• Website Development: Develop, and maintain the company’s e-commerce website, ensuring functionality, performance, and scalability.
• Front-End and Back-End Development: Work on both front-end and back-end development tasks, including coding, debugging, and implementing new features.
• Content Management: Manage and update website content using a content management system (CMS), ensuring all information is current and accurate.
• E-Commerce Integration: Integrate e-commerce functionalities such as shopping carts, payment gateways, and third-party plugins to enhance the online shopping experience.
• Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize website performance, including speed, responsiveness, and overall site efficiency.
• SEO and Analytics: Implement SEO best practices and track website performance using analytics tools, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Cross-Device and Cross-Browser Compatibility: Ensure the website is fully responsive and functions seamlessly across various devices and browsers.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, design, and content teams to ensure website alignment with branding and marketing strategies.
• Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve technical issues promptly, minimizing downtime and ensuring a seamless user experience.
• Security: Implement and maintain security protocols to protect customer data and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Must-Have:

• At least 2 years experience in eCommerce website development, preferably in a retail or direct-to-consumer (DTC) environment.
• Proficiency in web development languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
• Experience with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce) and CMS (e.g., WordPress).
• Strong understanding of SEO principles and web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice-to-Have:

• Knowledge of UX/UI design principles is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
• Love of food and cooking! Cooking skills and/or experience in the culinary industry are a plus.
