Estimator

Job Brief  

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to manage tender preparation, quantity take-offs, competitive pricing, and pre-construction support for an expanding construction team. 

This pivotal role directly impacts business profitability by ensuring high-rise, commercial, civil, and structural construction bids are prepared with precision, clarity, and speed. Working closely with onshore leadership and project teams, the successful candidate will take ownership of estimating workflows to help secure key projects and support ongoing commercial growth. 

Responsibilities 

Tender Preparation 

• 
  

  Prepare accurate, detailed, and competitive tender submissions for complex commercial, high-rise, civil, and structural construction projects. 

  
  

Quantity Take-Offs 

• 
  

  Perform precise material and labour quantity take-offs from structural engineering and architectural plan sets. 

  
  

Plan & Drawing Review 

• 
  

  Review and interpret complex AutoCAD and PDF drawings to identify job scopes, potential design risks, and structural requirements. 

  
  

Bluebeam Estimation 

• 
  

  Utilise Bluebeam to measure drawings, mark up plans, and streamline accurate material take-off workflows. 

  
  

Costing & Pricing 

• 
  

  Estimate total project costs, including formwork systems, concrete, labour, equipment, and subcontractor fees, to establish competitive and profitable margins. 

  
  

Pre-Construction Support 

• 
  

  Provide technical advice and commercial support to project teams and executive management during the pre-construction phase. 

  
  

Pipeline & CRM Tracking 

• 
  

  Maintain up-to-date tender pipelines, client communications, and bid stages using CRM tools such as Pipedrive. 

  
  

Document Management 

• 
  

  Organise and maintain tender documentation, revisions, and project files systematically within Microsoft 365, OneDrive, and SharePoint. 

  
  

Stakeholder Collaboration 

• 
  

  Communicate proactively with project directors, client representatives, and supply chain partners via Microsoft Teams to resolve scope queries promptly. 

  
  

Bid Management 

• 
  

  Manage multiple simultaneous tender submissions independently while strictly adhering to critical closing deadlines. 

  
  

Requirements 

• 
  

  Proven experience as an Estimator specialising in formwork, concrete, structural, civil, or commercial construction. 

  
  

• 
  

  Advanced capability in conducting precise quantity take-offs from engineering documentation. 

  
  

• 
  

  Strong proficiency in reviewing and analysing AutoCAD files and technical PDF drawings. 

  
  

• 
  

  Hands-on experience using Bluebeam for measurement and take-off workflows. 

  
  

• 
  

  Demonstrated experience working with CRM systems such as Pipedrive. 

  
  

• 
  

  Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tenders autonomously. 

  
  

• 
  

  Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively with remote leadership and project teams.
