Job Role: Full Stack Developer

Compensation range: $2,800 AUD - $3,000 AUD / Monthly

Engagement type: Independent consultant engagement

Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Full Stack Developer to join our development team and contribute to the build and evolution of critical internal systems, including our CRM platform. This role requires a strong foundation in backend and frontend development, with a focus on performance, scalability, and security. The ideal candidate will bring a solid track record of delivering robust, maintainable solutions using modern web technologies and development practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable full-stack applications, primarily focused on CRM systems.
• Write clean, efficient, and reusable code using PHP, Laravel, and Node.js.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs to support business logic and connect with third-party services.
• Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and implement solutions.
• Maintain and optimize MySQL databases and ensure data consistency, performance, and integrity.
• Write unit and integration tests in Laravel to ensure code quality and stability across deployments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, product managers, and designers to deliver high-quality software in an agile environment.
• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 3–5 years of professional experience in full-stack web development.
• Proficiency in PHP and the Laravel framework, with solid backend development experience.
• Strong knowledge of Node.js for server-side development and asynchronous programming.
• Deep understanding of relational databases, especially MySQL, and data modeling principles.
• Experience building, documenting, and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Understanding of key backend development principles such as:
• Effective error handling and logging strategies
• Security best practices for protecting user data
• Familiarity with test-driven development practices, including writing unit and integration tests in Laravel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of frontend frameworks (e.g., Vue.js, React) is a plus.
• Experience with containerization (e.g., Docker) and version control systems (e.g., Git).

This is a remote role that will be set up as an Independent consultant engagement
