Full Stack Software Developer (Internal Business Systems)

Job Brief  

We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Software Developer to design, build, and maintain an in-house web-based drawing review and document management platform for the construction industry. 

The platform will replace reliance on third-party software with a modern, highly integrated solution tailored to internal business processes. The system will support drawing management, document control, collaborative review, project workflows, and AI-powered document processing while integrating with existing operational and commercial systems. 

The successful candidate will take ownership of the technical architecture and development of the platform, from the initial MVP through to production deployment and ongoing improvement. This is an opportunity for a strong full stack developer to take a leading role in building a scalable, enterprise-grade internal product from the ground up.

Requirements

  Proven experience as a Full Stack Software Developer building and deploying production web applications.  

  
  

• 
  

  Strong experience with React, TypeScript, and Next.js.  

  
  

• 
  

  Strong backend development experience using Node.js and TypeScript.  

  
  

• 
  

  Experience designing and developing REST APIs, with GraphQL experience highly regarded.  

  
  

• 
  

  Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, database optimisation, indexing, query performance, and data migrations.

  Experience handling large files, particularly PDFs and document-based workflows.  

  
  

• 
  

  Practical experience with PDF rendering, manipulation, image processing, OCR, or document indexing.

  Strong understanding of cloud-based application development and deployment.

  Experience with CI/CD pipelines, GitHub, automated deployments, monitoring, and logging.
