About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Geospatial Specialist to join our team in developing an advanced Planetary Intelligence Platform. This platform leverages geospatial analytics, natural language processing, and machine learning to deliver actionable insights for environmental management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in GIS technologies, geospatial data analysis, and remote sensing, with a keen interest in applying advanced AI and machine learning models to solve real-world environmental challenges.

What You Bring

• Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geography, Geomatics, Environmental Science, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • 3+ years of experience working with geospatial technologies, GIS platforms, or remote sensing applications.

• Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) and geospatial databases (e.g., PostGIS).

  • Strong experience with geospatial data formats (GeoJSON, Shapefiles, NetCDF, GeoTIFF, etc.).

  • Knowledge of remote sensing data sources (satellite imagery, LiDAR, UAV/drone data) and image processing techniques.

  • Familiarity with Python or R for geospatial analysis (e.g., GDAL, GeoPandas, rasterio, Shapely).

  • Experience with cloud-based geospatial platforms (e.g., Google Earth Engine, AWS, or similar).

  • Understanding of machine learning or AI applications in geospatial analysis is a strong plus.

• Analytical & Domain Knowledge

  • Ability to analyze, visualize, and interpret complex geospatial datasets to support decision-making.

  • Background or interest in environmental monitoring, climate change, or natural resource management.

• Soft Skills

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-disciplinary team.

  • Excellent communication skills to present findings and insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
