Inventory Accountant

The Inventory Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, preparing reports, and supporting the finance team in stock reconciliations, GRIR management, and month-end processes.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform daily and weekly stock accounting tasks and assist with ad hoc inventory issues.
• Prepare and analyse inventory reports and reconciliations between multiple systems.
• Manage GRIR (Goods Received/Invoice Received) processes and ensure timely resolution.
• Liaise with distribution centres and the supply chain to verify inventory accuracy.
• Support month-end reporting and assist with financial audits.
• Conduct variance analysis and investigate discrepancies.
• Collaborate with finance and operations teams to improve inventory accounting processes.

• CPA / CA qualification or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, ideally in retail, FMCG, or manufacturing.
• Proven experience in inventory accounting and reconciliations.
• Proficiency in SAP (medium to advanced level)–essential.
• Strong Excel skills (medium to advanced) for reporting and analysis.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data management.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
• Collaborative team player with a proactive mindset.
