They are seeking a proactive Inventory & Production Planner to join their Operations team. This role is crucial in maintaining optimal inventory levels, aligning production with demand forecasts, and supporting smooth fulfillment that drives continued business growth.
What You’ll Do
Inventory & Production Scheduling
Convert demand forecasts into production schedules aligned with lead times and sales goals
Monitor and replenish finished goods inventory across all sales channels to prevent stockouts or overstock
Trigger, track, and manage production orders with contract manufacturers
SKU & BOM Management
Create and maintain SKUs for new products and bundles across systems and platforms
Set up and maintain BOMs, incorporating formulation updates, tariffs, and import fees into costing
Inventory Optimization & Control
Maintain accurate inventory records and partner with warehouse teams to resolve discrepancies
Track lot numbers and product expiry to reduce aging inventory risk
Monitor channel-specific sales velocity and adjust production timing as needed
Order & Fulfillment Monitoring
Manage backorders and ensure timely replenishment based on inbound shipments
Monitor unfulfillable inventory and execute corrective actions
Oversee unfulfilled customer orders and escalate to warehouse when required
Anticipate subscription fulfillment risks and proactively implement solutions
Reporting & Analysis
Create dashboards and reports on inventory health, production schedules, and sales trends
Analyze historical demand data to improve forecast accuracy and planning models
Process Improvement & Systems
Identify opportunities to improve workflows and inventory tracking
Support implementation of tools and automation to enhance forecasting and reporting capabilities
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Coordinate with marketing for product launches and promotional campaigns
Work closely with operations, warehouse, and logistics teams to align planning with fulfillment capacity
Additional Support
Participate in ad-hoc projects as needed to support operational goals
What You’ll Bring
2–4+ years in Inventory Planning, Supply Chain, Production Planning, or similar role
Experience with WMS, ERP, and eCommerce marketplaces (Amazon, Shopify, TikTok Shop)
Strong analytical and forecasting capabilities; advanced Excel/Sheets skills
Understanding of BOMs, COGS, and contract manufacturing
Organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities
Strong communicator and cross-functional collaborator
