IT Infrastructure Lead - 100% Work from home - Up to 200k

We are looking for an IT Infrastructure Lead to work for a client located in Eastwood. 

Work setup & shift: Work from home | Dayshift

The IT Infrastructure Lead oversees the design, implementation, maintenance, and security of the organisation's server, cloud and networking infrastructure. This includes managing cloud environments, storage, enterprise applications, LAN, WAN and WiFi networks, and server-based systems to ensure reliability, scalability, and security. The role involves leading a team of IT professionals, developing infrastructure strategies, and ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management, with a strong focus on server and cloud infrastructure
• Proven leadership experience managing IT teams
• Hands-on experience with virtualisation technologies (VMware, Hyper-V), storage solutions, and enterprise IT operations
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) and hybrid cloud environments
• Expertise in server administration, virtualisation, and enterprise storage systems
• Familiarity with ITSM frameworks and DevOps methodologies
• Relevant certifications such as ITIL, AWS/Azure certifications, or CISSP are advantageous
• Bachelors degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Responsibilities:

Strategic IT Infrastructure Management

• Develop and implement IT infrastructure strategies to support business growth and operational efficiency.
• Design and manage cloud-based and on-premises infrastructure solutions.
• Ensure IT infrastructure aligns with industry best practices and security standards.

Server and Cloud Management

• Oversee the management and optimisation of server environments, including Windows and Linux servers.
• Manage cloud-based services (e.g., Azure (Primary), AWS (secondary), Google -Cloud (tertiary) and on prem environments (Hyper-V)
• Implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans to minimise downtime.
• Ensure high availability and performance of enterprise applications and data storage solutions.

Security & Compliance

• Ensure IT infrastructure security aligns with company policies and compliance requirements (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).
• Implement and maintain security measures such as endpoint protection and intrusion detection systems.
• Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments.

Team Leadership & Vendor Management

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of IT infrastructure specialists.
• Collaborate with IT leadership to define infrastructure budgets, roadmaps, and investments.
• Manage relationships with third-party vendors, service providers, and consultants.

IT Operations & Support

• Ensure system availability, performance, and reliability with proactive monitoring and maintenance.
• Establish and enforce IT policies, standards, and best practices.
• Oversee IT asset management and lifecycle planning.
