Job Role: Lead Estimator 

Compensation range: $1,500 AUD - $ 2,000 AUD / Monthly

Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement

Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.

Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Lead Estimator to join our team and play a key role in driving the success of our projects. This position requires a professional with proven experience in the Australian construction/engineering market, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple aspects of project preparation and delivery. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and pricing for projects in line with Australian standards and practices.
• Develop and manage project schedules to ensure timely delivery of milestones.
• Collaborate closely with the project manager, engineers, and wider team to align on scope, timelines, and resources.
• Review and analyse project specifications, drawings, and other documents to ensure accurate pricing and scheduling.
• Identify risks, opportunities, and value engineering options during the estimating process.
• Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and stakeholders to gather competitive pricing and ensure alignment on requirements.
• Provide detailed reports and updates on project progress, risks, and cost controls to senior management.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to refine estimating and project management processes.

• At least 3 years experience as an Estimator or Lead Estimator in the Australian construction/engineering market.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, cost estimation practices, and scheduling tools.
• Excellent command of English with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver under pressure.
• Proficient in Estimation software such as Planswift or similar tools.
• Familiarity with Buildern is an advantage (training will be provided).
• Strong working knowledge of ClickUp for project management
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
• A collaborative team player with leadership qualities and the ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders.
