Job Description - Legal Admin (007-672)

​​Looking for Filipino (Philippines-based) candidates

Job Role: Legal Admin

Compensation range: $1,500 - $2,000 AUD/month

Engagement type: Independent Contractor

Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 8.30 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.

Who We Are: At Hunt St, we help Australian companies directly hire top 5% remote talent in the Philippines. You will be hired directly by the client, typically as an independent contractor. We are not an outsourcing agency. All of our roles are 100% remote, so you'll be able to work from home.

Who The Client Is:

Our client is a well-established law firm based in Tasmania with over 100 staff. They provide a wide range of legal services across areas such as property, conveyancing, and general legal matters. The firm is known for its professional and collaborative environment, with a structured team of admin staff and paralegals supporting lawyers to ensure smooth operations.

About the Role

This is a full-time, lower-level administrative support role to handle foundational admin tasks across the firm. The contractor will provide overflow support when staff take leave or are unwell. Higher-level admin staff and paralegals will continue to manage more technical work. The role is outcome-based, with KPIs and training provided, and is expected to run approximately 35 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

Legal Administrative Support

  • Use LexisNexis Affinity practice management system (training provided)
  • Set up new client files and matter files accurately
  • Prepare, amend, and format correspondence and documents as directed
  • Prepare documents for electronic signing using Annature (similar to Docusign)
  • Assist with invoicing
  • Maintain and organize electronic filing systems

Property / Conveyancing Administrative Tasks

  • Conduct title searches and property-related searches using Infotrack and other platforms
  • Input and maintain accurate data in conveyancing files
  • Prepare correspondence and forms as directed for conveyancing matters using standard precedents
  • Assist with setting up Verification of Identity (VOI) requests using Infotrack

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong general administration skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication
  • Reliable home working setup, stable internet, quiet environment
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks
  • Comfortable working remotely and independently

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Affinity document management system
  • Background in legal, professional services, or similar office environment

This is a remote role that will be set up as an independent contractor engagement.
