Live Medical Scribe / Receptionist- Athena Experience Required

Staffing for Doctors is actively seeking an experienced and Highly flexible Medical Scribe with proficiency in Athena EMR to support healthcare providers in documenting patient encounters.

This is a Hybrid role requires real-time transcription of patient care while ensuring accurate and comprehensive medical records are maintained.

This is a FullTime Position for 40hrs/Week

Key Responsibilities

Medical Scribe

• Document patient visits and clinical updates in real-time using ATHENA EMR.
• 2-3 days will be a Medical Scribe doing real-time EMR Charting.
• Virtually attend appointments on ipad.

Receptionist / Med Admin

• When they aren't a scribe they will be a Front-desk receptionist answering phones/Medical Admin.
• Duties will be appointment scheduling
• Telehealth Support
• Patient communication & customer service
• Medical refills
• Record Maintenance
• Patient Care Coordination
• Insurance Verification & Pre-authorizations,
• EMR/EHR Management.
• Email & Calendar management. 
• Maintain confidentiality and adherence to HIPAA regulations at all times.

• Proven experience using Athena EMR is required.
• Previous experience as a medical scribe or in a medical administrative role is preferred.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology and patient care documentation.
• High attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
