Job Description - Marketplaces Lead (015 - 637)

Looking for Philippines-based candidates

Job Role: Marketplaces Lead

Compensation range: $1500 AUD - $2000 AUD / Monthly

Engagement type: Independent Contractor role, potential transition to EOR

Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.

Who We Are: At Hunt St, we help Australian companies hire top remote talent in the Philippines. For this role, you will be engaged directly by the client as an independent contractor. We are not an outsourcing agency. All of our roles are 100% remote so you'll be able to work from home.

Known for their timeless designs and practical everyday pieces, they serve families who value comfort, quality, and conscious living.

Role Overview: 

The Marketplaces Lead is responsible for driving growth and performance across global online marketplace channels. This role leads the sourcing, onboarding, trading, and optimisation of marketplace partnerships while ensuring strong commercial outcomes. Working cross-functionally with wholesale, planning, marketing, finance, and external partners, the role plays a key part in expanding brand presence, improving conversion, and managing budgets across digital marketplaces.

Key Responsibilities: 

Marketplace Growth & Strategy

  • Research, source, and onboard new marketplace opportunities locally and globally (e.g., The Iconic, Bloomingdale’s, Nordstrom, Zalando).
  • Develop and implement ongoing marketplace strategies to drive revenue growth.
  • Establish marketplace trading rules, pricing frameworks, and promotional plans.

Marketplace Trading & Operations

  • Manage day-to-day trading across marketplaces, ensuring product listings, pricing, and promotions are accurate and optimised.
  • Coordinate marketplace integrations with third-party developers and partners.
  • Maintain product enrichment and content accuracy across all platforms.
  • Monitor performance metrics, analytics, and KPIs to improve traffic, conversion, and revenue.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Liaise with planning and buying teams to curate marketplace-specific product ranges.
  • Work closely with marketing to develop marketplace content and campaigns.
  • Coordinate with finance on settlements and cost management.
  • Contribute to budgeting processes and monitor marketplace costs against targets.

Systems & Inventory Management

  • Utilise Shopify for ecommerce operations and management.
  • Manage inventory systems such as Apparel 21 to optimise stock movement across channels.
  • Support wholesale and planning teams with stock coordination and general administration.
  • At least 3 years experience managing and trading on major online marketplaces such as The Iconic, Bloomingdale’s, Nordstrom, and Zalando.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Shopify for ecommerce operations and product management.
  • Experience using inventory management systems such as Apparel 21.
  • Background in ecommerce within fashion or fast-moving consumer goods.
  • Solid understanding of merchandising, stock management, and marketplace optimisation.
  • Experience contributing to budgeting processes and commercial planning as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and improve performance KPIs.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and external partners.

This is a remote role that will be set up as an independent contractor engagement.
