Medical Biller / Accounts Receivable Specialist (Hospice billing)

MedCore Solutions, the medical division of BizForce is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Biller / AR Specialist who specializes in hospice billing and has hands-on experience with FireNote software. This is a fully remote opportunity for candidates based in the Philippines who are looking to grow their U.S. RCM (Revenue Cycle Management) careers while making a real impact from home.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end hospice billing processes, including charge entry, claims submission, payment posting, and patient account reconciliation.
• Utilize FireNote software for accurate billing, documentation tracking, and claim management.
• Monitor and follow up on accounts receivable, including denied, unpaid, or underpaid claims.
• Coordinate with U.S.-based hospice teams for clarifications, documentation needs, and timely billing updates.
• Review payer remittances (EOBs and ERAs), analyze discrepancies, and initiate appeals or corrections as needed.
• Ensure compliance with Medicare/Medicaid hospice billing regulations and payer-specific guidelines.
• Maintain accurate documentation and meet all HIPAA and RCM standards.

• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in hospice medical billing and AR work.

• Proficient in using FireNote software (required).
• Familiar with U.S. healthcare RCM processes, especially Medicare billing for hospice services.
• Strong knowledge of payer guidelines, CPT/HCPCS codes, and denial management.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Comfortable working independently in a remote environment, with reliable internet and a secure workspace.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Schedule: 8 hours/day Monday-Friday; 40 hours/week

Days Off: Saturday & Sunday

• Minimum speed of 50 Mbps via a wired connection for stability and reliability.
• A backup internet connection is highly recommended.
