OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Mortgage Broker Assistant to join their high-performing team. In this pivotal role, you will provide critical operational support, ensuring that every loan application is processed with the speed, precision, and personalized care that defines the firm’s reputation
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Loan Processing & Submission: Manage the end-to-end processing of residential mortgage applications, ensuring all documentation is accurate and compliant with lender requirements.
Data Management: Accurately input client data into CRM and brokerage software systems, maintaining clean and up-to-date records throughout the loan lifecycle.
Lender Liaison: Act as a primary point of contact for lenders to track application status, resolve outstanding conditions, and expedite the path to formal approval and settlement.
Client Communication: Provide regular, proactive updates to clients regarding their application progress, ensuring a seamless and "high-touch" customer experience.
Compliance & Quality Control: Conduct thorough audits of loan files to ensure adherence to Australian credit regulations (NCCP) and internal quality standards.
Workflow Optimization: Utilize time-tracking and productivity tools (e.g., Time Doctor) to maintain high efficiency and meet strict submission deadlines.
Administrative Support: Assist brokers with preparing valuations, ordering credit reports, and managing daily calendars to maximize the team's capacity.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Mortgage Broker Assistant or Loan Processor specifically within the Australian mortgage industry.
Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Australian home loan process, including First Home Buyer grants, refinancing, and investment lending structures.
Software Proficiency: Experience with industry-standard CRM/Aggregator platforms (e.g., Mercury, MyCRM, or Salestrekker).
Compliance Mastery: Solid knowledge of Australian lending compliance and the NCCP Act.
Productivity Tools: Prior experience or willingness to work in an environment utilizing Time Doctor for productivity management.
PREFERRED SKILLS (nice to have):
Education: Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking is highly regarded but not mandatory for the right candidate.
Soft Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on providing premium "concierge-style" service.
