Our client is the market leader for crew insurance solutions, with the clear objective of improving safety at sea through loyalty on board.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Case Management. This role is expected to handle up to 70 active crew insurance claims cases, including medical treatment, repatriation, hospitalization, disability settlements, and other claims.
Reserve Setting & Reporting. This will set case reserves and prepare accurate reports.
Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with underwriters, legal partners, and the parent company for case consultation and policy review.
This person will supervise one direct report while balancing hands-on case handling and managerial oversight.
Identify workflow improvements and collaborate with IT to enhance the claims management system.
Ensure claims handling aligns with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Review existing policies and support operational frameworks established by the parent company.
Must-have Skills / Qualification:
Minimum of 3 years experience in Crew P&I claims processing and management.
Experience in the maritime industry or insurance/third-party providers servicing maritime clients.
Familiarity with communicating and coordinating with relevant government bodies (e.g NLRC)
NLRC cases, medical treatment claims, repatriation, hospitalization, and other related maritime claims.
Advantageous Skills:
Experience in managing a small team, but client is open to training candidates in terms of team management.
