Job Role: Production Estimator

Salary range: 2,000 - 4,000 AUD/month

Setup: Full-time, permanent remote job, Independent Contractor Agreement

Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.

Who The Client Is: The company specialized construction company that focuses on custom and complex residential projects. Unlike volume builders, we take on unique challenges, including sloping blocks, split levels, irregular shapes, basements, and multi-unit developments. Our in-house design team works alongside architects, often refining and redrawing plans to ensure precision. Every project we undertake is unique, requiring experienced professionals who thrive in a dynamic and detail-oriented environment.

Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Production Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will utilize exceptional planning and organizational skills and a hands-on approach to deliver accurate take-offs and effective pricing breakdowns for our many building projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate and cost-effective project-based estimates for both material and labor.
•  Ability to complete Accurate Take offs and problem-solve
•  Collaborate closely with designers, engineers, and site teams.
•  Liaise with suppliers and trades as and when required.
•  Prepare margin reports and analyze ETSs/ETOs.
•  Improve processes through continuous development.

• Hands-on residential estimating experience, including Custom and Medium density/unit developments.
• Must have experience working with Australian local builders
• Relevant qualifications in Building and Construction, Design, and/or Engineering.
• Should have experience working with Australian local builders for custom build and multi unit projects.
• Ability to understand and interpret architectural drawings, engineering drawings, soil reports, and various contract documents.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Expertise in Databuild and/or Business Craft.
