Job Role: Residential DraftPerson (Part - time)

Compensation range: $1300 AUD / Monthly

Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement

Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 20 hours per week)

Who The Client Is: a growing interior design business specializing in residential renovations and new builds. We are passionate about bringing design visions to life with precision, creativity, and a strong attention to detail.

Role Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented Residential Draftsperson to assist with creating high-quality 2D drawings and 3D renderings for residential renovation and construction projects. 

You will collaborate closely with our design team to translate design concepts into technical drawings and visual presentations, ensuring accuracy, creativity, and alignment with client expectations.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Produce detailed 2D drawings and plans for residential renovations and new builds using AutoCAD and SketchUp.
• Support the design team with drafting, revisions, and technical documentation.
• Create 3D renderings using software such as Lumion or Enscape (preferred).
• Ensure all drawings meet the level of detail and quality required for execution.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure design feasibility and accuracy.
• Deliver project work within agreed timelines.

• Proven experience as a Draftsperson in residential design or a related field.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp (required).
• Has extensive experience in joinery design and detailing for residential and commercial projects.
• Experience with 3D rendering software such as Lumion or Enscape (preferred).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow design specifications closely.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently under an ICA (Independent Contractor Agreement).
• A portfolio showcasing relevant drafting and rendering work (required).

Work Arrangement & Expectations:

This is a remote role that will be set up as an independent contractor engagement.
