Senior Accountant-

About the Role

We are urgently hiring a Senior Accountant to support a U.S.-based company in the food services and events industry.

This role is focused on clearing a backlog of balance sheet reconciliations caused by audits and system changes. This requires strong analytical skills and the ability to work through complex, high-volume accounts.

This is a full-time, temporary role (2–3 months) with potential for extension. Fully remote with required overlap in U.S. (PST) hours.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform high-volume balance sheet reconciliations across multiple account types
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies using sound judgment
• Work through backlog efficiently while maintaining accuracy
• Pull and analyze large datasets from ERP systems (NetSuite preferred)
• Support month-end close as needed

What does success look like?

• Backlog significantly reduced or cleared within 2–3 months
• Reconciliations are accurate, clean, and audit-ready
• Issues are proactively identified and resolved

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of accounting experience with strong focus on reconciliations
• Experience in public company accounting environments (required or strongly preferred)
• Proven experience handling complex balance sheet accounts
• Comfortable working with large datasets and ERP systems (NetSuite preferred)
• Experience in audit support, post-audit cleanup, or remediation work is a strong plus
• High attention to detail and ability to work independently under pressure
