Job Description - Senior Content Writer - Work from home, Midshift
The Content Writer & Manager is responsible for planning, writing, and managing high-converting content across all digital channels. This role will support the inbound marketing strategy, helping to attract and convert prospects through well-researched, compelling, and SEO-optimised content.
Lead the development of high-quality digital content to attract and engage B2B audiences.
Write and manage a range of content types, including website copy, blogs, landing pages, social posts, email sequences, and case studies.
Collaborate with the General Manager and Sales team to plan and execute email marketing campaigns and lead-nurturing workflows.
Apply SEO best practices to all content, supporting organic traffic and search visibility.
Maintain a structured content calendar aligned with business objectives and seasonal campaigns.
Ensure all content reflects each brand’s voice and connects with New Zealand’s diverse commercial audience.
Track and report content performance metrics such as organic traffic, lead conversions, and engagement.
Research and translate industry trends into authoritative and relevant marketing content.
Work closely with the PPC Specialist to ensure alignment between paid media and content strategy, especially around landing pages and conversion optimisation.
Partner with designers and marketing colleagues to develop visually engaging and cohesive content assets.
Continuously refine content strategy based on performance data and business priorities.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in digital content writing, ideally for B2B or service-based industries.
Strong understanding of inbound marketing, content funnels, and lead generation.
Experience with SEO tools (e.g. SEMrush, Ahrefs), and content management systems (e.g. WordPress).
Familiarity with email marketing platforms and content performance tracking.
Ability to manage multiple content streams and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills tailored for business audiences.
