Job Role: SEO Specialist

Compensation range: $2,000 AUD - $3,000 AUD / Monthly

Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement

Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.

Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced SEO Manager to lead and execute our organic growth strategy across multiple brands. In this role, you will be responsible for driving visibility, improving rankings, and ensuring that our business is easily found by the people who need us most. You will oversee all aspects of SEO, from site optimisation to content strategy and local search visibility.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Develop and manage the group-wide SEO strategy across multiple companies and websites.
• Optimise on-page and off-page performance to improve search rankings and increase visibility.
• Oversee and maintain Google My Business (GMB) listings to ensure accuracy and maximise local exposure.
• Monitor competitor activity and industry trends to identify opportunities for growth.
• Analyse website traffic, call volumes, and conversions to evaluate customer acquisition cost (CAC) and return on investment (ROI).
• Generate regular reports on organic search performance, segmented by market and customer type.
  

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on SEO experience, with a proven track record of delivering measurable results in organic traffic growth, keyword rankings, and lead generation.
• Strong expertise in local SEO and Google My Business (GMB) optimisation, including multi-location management and improving map pack visibility.
• Experience working in time-sensitive service industries (e.g., emergency response, trades, healthcare), with the ability to adapt SEO strategies for fast-moving, high-demand markets.
• Demonstrated success in managing SEO for multiple brands or companies, preferably across different industries or service types.
• Advanced proficiency in SEO tools and analytics platforms such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, or equivalent.
• Solid understanding of technical SEO principles, including site architecture, crawlability, indexing, and Core Web Vitals optimisation.
• Proven ability to develop and execute content strategies aligned with SEO best practices to improve visibility and conversions.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in tracking and reporting on KPIs such as CAC, ROI, conversion rates, and engagement metrics.

This is a remote role that will be set up as an independent contractor engagement.
