About the role: Senior Software Engineer to help build, improve, and maintain internal software and automation systems that support quoting, operations, and workflow efficiency. This person will be responsible for understanding existing systems, identifying opportunities for automation, and implementing solutions that improve how the business runs.

This is a highly self-sufficient role for someone who can think strategically, work independently, and translate business processes into effective technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and improve an existing JavaScript-based application and internal systems


• Learn and understand current workflows, then identify opportunities for improvement


• Build automation to reduce manual operational work


• Collaborate with leadership to map business processes into technical solutions


• Develop, test, and deploy code to support internal tools and systems


• Support quoting and backend operational processes through software


• Use AI-assisted coding tools and modern development workflows


• Troubleshoot issues and ensure reliability of internal applications


• Document systems and processes as needed

Qualifications:

• Senior-level software engineering experience


• Strong proficiency in JavaScript


• Experience with Python


• Experience using AI coding tools such as Claude Code


• Ability to work independently and solve ambiguous problems


• Strong communication and collaboration skills


• Ability to learn and maintain existing codebases quickly


• Comfortable supporting operational systems in a business environment

Nice to have: 

• Experience with N8N or similar workflow automation tools


• Experience building internal tools or operational software


• Experience working with small teams and wearing multiple hats


• Familiarity with quoting systems, automation, or backend business logic


• Strong interest in leveraging AI and automation to improve business performance
