Job Description - Talent Acquisition Coordinator

Our client is a leading Australian discount retailer, providing affordable everyday essentials to customers nationwide.

They are now looking to hire a Talent Acquisition Coordinator who will support the Talent Acquisition team to deliver high-quality recruitment outcomes and enhance the candidate experience.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Advertise job openings across SEEK, LinkedIn, internal job boards, and other platforms in line with the employer brand.
  • Source and screen candidates for retail and corporate roles using SEEK Talent Search, LinkedIn Recruiter, and internal databases.
  • Conduct reference checks and prepare contract documentation via DocuSign.
  • Maintain accurate records in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and ensure compliance with recruitment policies and data privacy regulations.
  • Manage the Careers inbox, responding to enquiries within 48 hours.
  • Build and maintain talent pools for high-volume or frequently recruited roles.
  • Provide administrative support for reporting, system updates, and ad-hoc coordination tasks.
  • Promote Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) policies and participate in RTW programs.
  • Contribute to a positive candidate experience and uphold the company’s employer brand.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including Buyers, Planners, and Store Operations.
  • Experience in recruitment coordination, preferably in retail or agency settings.
  • Proficiency with job advertising platforms (SEEK, LinkedIn, Indeed) and ATS systems (PageUp or similar).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (Advanced English proficiency).
  • Competency in MS Office Suite (Intermediate).
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and work with attention to detail.
  • Customer-focused with a collaborative and resilient mindset.
  • Knowledge of recruitment processes, including requisition management, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer preparation.
  • Commitment to Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) compliance.
