Overall purpose and responsibilities of the role:
The Staff Auditor will be responsible for analyzing and conducting necessary audit procedures with the guidance of a direct supervisor. He/she will also prepare working papers that adequately document audit tests and procedures, substantiating the conclusions reached.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Audit Services
Preparation of financial audit reports.
Conduct planning, analytical procedures, testing controls, identifying areas of audit risk and communicating findings and results.
Completes unplanned client related or internal firm projects, record-keeping and
Other matters as needed
Actively manages workload for themselves, independently tracks deliverables and identifies additional advisory opportunities with existing clients
Maintains continued client communication and manages client relationships as needed with supervisors.
Accounting Services
Has experience working with accounting software, primarily QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online
Requirements
Must-have Skills / Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or an advanced degree (preferred)
CPA designation is advantageous
At least 2–5 years of experience in U.S. generally accepted accounting principles
Experience working in government enterprise companies, nonprofit organizations, and companies that received federal funding (preferred).
Having worked with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development a plus, but not necessary.
Critical Skills & Experience
A “Doer”, not afraid to roll up sleeves
Hands-on, not a delegator for deliverables, reports and tools
Familiar with using audit software. We use Advance Flow from Thomson Reuters
QuickBooks Desktop/QuickBooks Online expertise is strongly advantageous
Technology savvy, proficient user of MS Office tools
Job type: Permanent
Emp type: Full-time
Schedule: Monday to Friday; 8 AM to 5 PM Mountain Standard Time, during January through April. Will then be 5 AM to 2 pm Philippine time during the rest of the year. ***This working time will be adjusted to meet the needs of the one hired
