Job Description - US Tax Advisory Specialist

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a US Tax Advisory Specialist in the Philippines.
This role is focused on serving as the primary point of contact for clients regarding sales tax nexus, use tax, resale certificates, and state-specific tax requirements. You will conduct nexus reviews, address client questions, and ensure a smooth, positive client experience while collaborating with internal teams to maintain compliance and accuracy. The position offers a fully remote work environment with flexible hours and the opportunity to contribute to a growing, mission-driven team. You will play a critical role in delivering reliable, high-quality tax advisory services, supporting both client success and internal operational excellence. Accountabilities:

    • Conduct annual and monthly nexus reviews for clients, analyzing economic presence and sales tax obligations.
    • Serve as the main point of contact for clients regarding nexus questions, offboarding, permit applications, closures, and state questionnaires.
    • Support internal teams, including Client Tax Specialists, Onboarding, and Filing teams, to ensure seamless client service and accurate filings.
    • Complete client project audits and peer reviews to maintain high-quality standards and compliance.
    • Proactively identify process improvements to enhance client experience and operational efficiency.
    • Manage multiple client accounts, ensuring timely communication and resolution of issues, while maintaining strong client relationships.
    • Requirements:
    • 1–2 years of experience in project management, tax advisory, research, audit, or accounting.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent professional experience.
    • Proficiency in spreadsheets and Excel formulas, with strong analytical and detail-oriented skills.
    • Excellent communication skills for client interaction, virtual meetings, and email correspondence.
    • Ability to manage client expectations, put clients at ease, and proactively solve complex issues.
    • Strong time management skills to handle flexible late shifts and dynamic workloads.
    • Alignment with core values emphasizing ownership, curiosity, proactive problem-solving, and collaboration.
    • Willingness to learn, grow professionally, and follow structured processes while thinking creatively when needed.
    • Benefits:
    • Monthly flat salary: 109,867 PHP.
